Hundertwasser House (Hundertwasserhaus) is an apartment building in Vienna designed by the famous Austrian artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser. The house was built by a
request of the city of Vienna and is now one of the most visited landmarks in Austria.

Hundertwasser had unconventional ideas and the house features trees in the rooms, uneven floors and unusual façade and can be compared to one of Gaudi’s buildings in Barcelona.

The Hundertwasser House was built between 1983 and 1986.

I was there today, 6 July 2009. The weather was bad, it was raining all day. The colour of the building was faded and was almost covered by the plant. Although it doesn't look as good as the postcard or the book, its worth to pay a visit.
