Pont Alexander III (Alexander III Bridge) is the most ornate and most beautiful bridge over the river Seine.
The bridge was designed by the architects Résal and Alby and was built in 1896-1900. Pont Alexander III is only 6 meters high with long single span of 107 meters and is 40 meters wide. The bridge is beautifully decorated with sculptures of nymphs and angels.
Pont Alexandre III has 4 granite columns on each side topped with gilded statues.
