Munich Neighbourhoods and Real Estate





If you are thinking of moving to Munich you may want to do some research first to see where would be the best place to live. There are many options for you to choose from since Munich does happen to be the third largest city in Germany. We have composed this list of neighbourhoods in Munich to give you an idea of what type of places may be available for you to choose from.

City Center: The City Center area of Munich consists of Karlsplatz, Isartor, Marienplatz and Odeonsplatz. If you are interested in living in one of these Munich neighborhoods you can expect to be seeing a ton of tourists because it is a big tourist area, which means this is where most of the nicer Munich hotels are located. University Area: The University Area consists of Schwabing and Maxvorstadt. The neighborhoods in these areas are perfect for college students. You may notice that this is where you will find a wide selection of Munich condos and Munich rentals due to the students who will only be living there temporarily. However, the area is also known for having nice Munich properties for sale as well. So, if you will be moving to the area for college you may want to consider one of the two locations so you will not be too far from your school.

Olympic Area: The Olympic Area is considered to be Olympia Einkaufzentrum. This is where past Olympic Games have taken place. The area has magnificent views and it also has a lot of history behind it as well, especially when World War 2 is concerned. In this city you will find that the Munich realtors will be very knowledgeable about the area where you are considering living due to its rich history. If you have ever wanted to be in a historic neighborhood than you can consider the Olympic Area to be at the top of your list.

Clubbing Area: Ostbahnhof and Kulfabrik are both part of the clubbing area. Both of these neighbourhoods contain more than thirty clubbing area. So, if clubbing is something that you enjoy doing on a regular basic you never have to worry about becoming bored when you live here. There may be a ton of younger people around due to the clubs but otherwise this is an excellent area to live in.

Relaxation Area: Neuhausen and Nymphenburg make up what is known as the “relaxation area”. If you are someone who has just retired or like to leave in peaceful neighborhoods this would be the perfect area for you. The best thing about living in this area is tourists haven’t discovered it yet so you do not have to worry about being overcrowded in when you go out to do fun things and things of that nature.
