Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino is a relatively new luxurious resort at the end of the Strip, opened in 1999, and glows with its unmistakable golden facade. Mandalay Bay has 3 wings while THEhotel is a separate building right next to the main building and features spa, gym, pools, beach – that’s right, sandy beach with waves located on 11 acres, 10 Signature restaurants, 8 Casual Restaurants and 4 Quick Eats. The Shark Reef is a must see attraction at the Mandalay Bay resort. It is an aquarium filled with all kinds of sharks, sawfish, green sea turtles, giant rays, piranha and many more. It is open daily from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.

The Casino is spacious 135,000 sq ft area with the usual slots and tables of blackjack, roulette or poker, you name it they have it all.

The Rooms: Mandalay Bay has 3,215 rooms, 1,100 suites. At the Mandalay Bay the smallest room is 550 sq ft (51 sq m) and the prices start from $120 USD; at THEhotel the smallest suite is 725 sq ft (67 sq m) and the prices start from $150 per night. The resort has 43 floors and the rooms feature 42” High Definition Plasma TV, Floor to ceiling windows, hi-speed internet access, mini-bar, in-room safe, stone floors and surfaces in bathroom, bathtub and 15” LCD TV.

Mandalay bay is linked with train to its sister hotels along the Strip. The train is very convenient and quick way to go to Luxor, Excalibur hotels in no time.
