Malibu is a beachfront city in western Los Angeles County, California. Malibu is home to many movie stars and people in the entertainment industry. The city of Malibu is actually a 21 mile strip along the Pacific Coast Highway. The Malibu Colony, as it is known today, used to be a private land belonging to the Rindge family but later they were forced to sell most of their land and the colony was born. It is situated along the Malibu road, Malibu Lagoon State Beach and the Malibu Bluffs Park. There is no public access to the colony or the beach.

Malibu is a family friendly place. From all of the different beaches with playgrounds to the state parks that you can camp out at, you and your family will love your experience here. Leo Carrillo State Park and Beach has something for everyone. From hiking to fishing or just simply sunbathing on their extraordinary beach, there will never be a dull moment here. There are many historical museums to visit - Skidmore Contemporary Art, J. Paul Getty Museum and Adamson house. The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum is educational and entertaining at the same time. It has several artefacts from Reagan's presidency including the Bible he used to take oath. You can also touch a piece of the Berlin Wall there.

The Malibu Performing Arts Center has concerts played in an awesome acoustic sounding building. It seats about 500 and fills up quickly nightly. The Pepperdine University Center for the Arts is also a great place for upcoming law students to visit. It is a college in Malibu with one of the most gorgeous college campuses in USA.

The beaches there would have to be one of Malibu's most attracting features. Malibu's beaches include Surfrider Beach, Malibu State Beach, Zuma Beach and Topanga State Beach. There's also a beach nearby called Robert H. Meyer Memorial State Beach. It was once part of Old Malibu, which is name they called Malibu before it was officially a city. Surfrider County Beach is located east of the Malibu Lagoon State Beach where swimming is prohibited – it is an exclusive spot for surfers only.

For the Golf lovers, Malibu is home to Malibu golf course and country club. It has been said to be a hidden gem of sorts. It is a challenging course and some say that the novice golf player would have fun here experiencing all the different elevation changes in the course.
